The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) is the primary body for developing technology specifications for cellular networks, bringing together some of the smartest minds in the telecoms industry, and a growing number of vertical industies. Global5G.org works alongside the 5G Infrastructure Association (5G-IA) under Europe's 5G Public Private Partnership (5G PPP). The 5G-IA is a Market Representaion Partner (MRP) of 3GPP. Flanked by other EU-based MRPs and high-profile specialists in 3GPP, Global5G.org is supporting vertical industries on the journey towards 5G uptake and standardisation. The Task Force runs a workshop series for 5G vertical users to help lower the entry barrier to standardisation. It is also supporting the 5G-IA Pre-Standardization Working Group. This WG shares timely information with 5G PPP projects on 3GPP standardisation activities and monitors inputs in relation to the verticals they are supportin on the road to 5G.

This online Standards Tracker is desgned for vertical industries with an interest in 5G standardisation. There are practical guides and snapshots of the on-going study and work items for verticals, as well as updated mapping on work relevant to diverse verticals to help them find common requirements and interests.
