The aim is to encompass these services to the FAN ENGAGEMENT trend, which envisions smarter venue services by providing targeted and high-quality content and following fans along the journey with contextualised information. This trend also envisions fans as content producers (i.e. to share videos, photos, emotions, opinions, comments, etc.), and captures the explosion of IoT devices by including them as additional content producers. The end goal is to give the fans a more interactive, immersive and participative experience like never before.

In terms of ITU 5G functionalities, 5G-TRANSFORMER investigates:

  • Low latency (milliseconds), eMBB,  high availability, resilience, security, high device density, energy reduction, service creation time.
